Pictographs from Carved Rock Shelter, Sunny Glen Canyon, near Alpine, Brewster County, Texas. Discovered in 1921 and later excavated 1934 by Texas archaeologist Victor Smith. Photo by Victor Smith 1934. This cave, based on diagnostic artifacts, was occupied from the Late Archaic to the Late Prehistoric.
