Bud Shelton's incisive paper based upon his first hand analysis of the buried walls during the 99-2000 excavations is now up in the Quivira Project gallery as a pdf. You may need to refresh your browser to view it. It is a brilliant geological analysis which goes far to explain the mechanism which formed the walls as well as some intriguing speculation on the modified portions of the walls which indicate a previously unsuspected intelligent force at work on the upper portions of the wall. The first ten pages are not casual reading for the laymen but are well worth the effort to understand in light of the complicated geological issues and their implications. More previously unpublished photos and documents will be forthcoming as well as information on two more inscribed stones with patinated toolmarks recently discovered.
